Gold Creek Reservoir, QLD (Oct, 2014)

This Russet-tailed thrush was found on Gold Creek Road near the reservoir at no more than 50 to 100 metres above sea level. Bassian Thrush are generally found above 450 metres as apposed to Russet-tailed Thrush which are found below 500 metres.

The 50 metre crossover in territory can cause problems in identification in places like Mount Glorious where both can be found although generally at Mount Glorious the thrushes are Russet-tailed thrushes.
